The Project
About Wrestle in Rest
Why this exists, what it is trying to do, and who is behind it.
Mission
Wrestle in Rest exists for Christians who refuse to pretend that faith is easy, and who refuse to abandon it when it is hard. This is a place for serious theological reflection, honest engagement with difficulty, and the stubborn conviction that wrestling and resting are not opposites.
The name comes from Hebrews 4:9-11, where the writer calls his weary audience to strive to enter God's rest. The striving is real. The rest is real. Neither cancels the other. That paradox is the heartbeat of this project.
The content here is not aimed at specialists. It is aimed at the thoughtful Christian in the pew, the seminarian, the skeptic who has not yet left, the new believer who has more questions than answers. Anyone who takes both Scripture and suffering seriously will find something here.
Vision
The vision is a theological resource library that grows over time: articles, eventually a podcast, reading guides, and a curated library of recommended texts. Not a ministry with a database and a giving page. A publication, more like a journal than a church website.
The goal is to model the kind of intellectual and spiritual honesty that helps people stay in the faith during hard seasons, not because the questions have been answered, but because the one who holds them has been met.
Statement of Faith
Coming Soon
A full statement of faith is being written. It will reflect the broad Reformed Protestant tradition, with commitment to the authority of Scripture, the necessity of grace, and the centrality of Christ's finished work. Check back soon.
